Nut Milk Smoothies
Cherry Blossom Shake
Submitted by Joanna on Tue, 07/20/2010 - 08:33This delicious shake may be just what you need to realize that Spring is indeed on the way. Sweetened with dates, yacon powder and lucuma, this delicious shake take no time to make if you already have some Mighty Brazil Nut Milk on hand!
Ingredients
- 2 cups Mighty Brazil Nut Milk*
- 3 bananas, frozen
- 1/2 T yacon powder
- 1 t lucuma
- 1 c. dark cherries, frozen and unsweetened
- 4 dates, or agave nectar
Directions
- Blend all the ingredients together until smooth.
Mango Chia Milk
Submitted by Joanna on Tue, 07/20/2010 - 08:33Mango smoothies are always so delightful, and chia seeds take them to the next level by adding healthy omega 3 fatty acids and calcium. The recipe calls for frozen fruits, so that the liquid does not heat up during the relatively lengthy blending time.
Ingredients: (serves 2)
- 2 T chia seeds
- 2 cups water
- 3 T agave nectar or raw honey
- 2 cups frozen mango chunks
- 1/2 t lucuma powder (optional)
Directions
- Blend everything in a powerful blender for at least 2 minutes.
Strawberry Chia Milk

The recipe calls for frozen fruits, so that the liquid does not heat up during the relatively lengthy blending time.
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 2 T chia seeds
- 2 cups water
- 3 T agave nectar or raw honey
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1/2 t lucuma powder
Directions

Creamy Lucuma Almond Milk

Ingredients (serves 2-3)
- 1 cups raw almonds, soaked
- 3 cups water
- 2 T dark agave nectar
- 1 T lucuma
Directions
- Blend the almonds and water together until smooth, about one minute.
- Strain the liquid through a nut milk bag, discard the pulp, and rinse the blender.
Banana Foster Brazil Nut Shake

Make sure to scrape the sides of the glass as you drink for even more chocolate! Be sure to use a good caramel extract as poor quality ones can lend a harsh taste to the drink. Otherwise, just use vanilla extract, or more vanilla bean. Serves 2.
Ingredients:
- 3 frozen bananas, small
- 1 T agave nectar + 3/4 t caramel extract
- 1/4 t cinnamon
- 2 c. Mighty Brazil nut milk*
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 1 T agave nectar

Fertility Goddess Smoothie

Perfect for Valentine's Day with a piece of raw chocolate, or any day of the year!
Ingredients:
- 4 cups strawberries, whole, preferably semi-thawed
- 2 bananas, ripe
- 2 T maca
- 2 cups Brazil nut milk*
- 1 T agave nectar
Directions:
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Makes 2 large servings or 4 small ones. You can also use fresh strawberries and frozen bananas instead.
Cinnamon Roll Smoothie

Ingredients:
- 2 cups Brazil nut milk (blend 2/3 c. Brazil nuts and a little vanilla bean with 2 cups water and 2 T agave nectar. Strain.)
- 1 piece vanilla bean (about 1 inch)
- 2 T agave nectar
- 1 t cinnamon
- 3 small frozen bananas
- Dark syrup such as agave nectar or yacon syrup.

Brazil Nut Superfood Smoothie

Cacao provides magnesium, minerals and antioxidants, Brazil nut milk brings a punch of selenium and protein, and maca balances our hormones and heals our adrenals.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Brazil nut milk
- 3 small bananas, frozen
- 3 T raw cacao powder
- 1 T raw maca
- 1 T organic bee pollen (optional)
- 1 T rawagave nectar
Directions:
Blend all the ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth, about 1 minute.
Protein and Iron Smoothie

It is full of fiber and provides 25% of our daily folate requirement. Folate is an important nutrient for pregnant moms. Last, but not least it's creamy and delicious!

- ¼ cup hemp seeds (more if you love hemp seeds!)

But this smoothie is nothing short of amazing! Packed with electrolytes from the coconuts, complete protein from the hemp, vitamins and potassium from the bananas, this is an amazing smoothie during physically challenging days - or just when you're craving something rich and delicious!
Ingredients: (serves 2)
- 2 young coconuts, flesh and water *
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1/4 cup hemp protein powder
