Kelp is a generic name for over 300 species of large brown algae that belong to the order Laminariales. Our "Kelp" (or "Wild Atlantic Kombu," because of its similarity to Japanese Kombu) is Laminaria longicruris.

At Sirova, we love to eat kelp leaves as if it were chewing gum to get enough iodine in our diet. It is also delicious cut up in miso soup, mashed into guacamole, and more!
